What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
The dress code for this wedding is cocktail attire. Think cocktail dresses, suit and tie, or sports coat.
Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?
Both the ceremony and reception will be taking place on the King's Hill Inn and Barn property. Travel between the ceremony and reception is not required.
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be taking place in an outdoor ceremony space, while the reception will be taking place indoors with the option to go outside on to the patio.
What will the weather be like this time of year?
For our out-of-state guests, Maine in the early fall is likely still going to be comfortable for outdoor activities. The reception is scheduled to continue after dark, so a light jacket is recommended. Wedding favors with your warmth in mind will also be provided during the reception :)
What time should I arrive?
While we support both our early birds and buzzer beaters, we ask that you provide yourself with ample time to seat yourself and get acclimated before the ceremony begins. The ceremony will be starting at 3 pm, so it is best to shoot for an arrival time of 2:30-2:45.
Where should guests park? Is parking free?
Parking is free at the venue. There will be a parking attendant available to help guests maximize space in the parking lot.
Can I bring a plus one?
Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. Unless we have contacted you personally regarding a plus one, we ask that you bring only those listed on the invitation.
Are children welcome at the wedding?
Yes, children are welcome at the wedding; however, do not feel the pressure to bring them! If parents want to treat it as a night off, feel free to do so. We will be double checking on RSVPs to see which children will be needing meals for our final head count.
Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?
Yes! Our venue is wheelchair accessible, including a handicap accessible bathroom and optional transportation between the ceremony and reception cites.
Where are you registered?
We are so thankful you will be joining us for this celebration of our love. While gifts are not expected, we have registered for a few items we need for our newlywed home. A direct link to our wedding registry can be found under the registry tab at the top of the page.
Do you have any recommendations for where to eat, points of interest or things to do?
Yes! We recommend visiting the ‘Things to Do’ tab at the top of the page where we’ve compiled all of our favorite local hot spots and fun things to do in the area, including coffee shops, spas and restaurants to visit before or after the wedding.
